Do you need to declutter your home?

We talk a lot about interior design, colours and how to make a house a home but sometimes a good declutter is needed for us to truly see and appreciate the space again.

Here are our top tips to decluttering:
1. Find out exactly what you use, you can do this room by room – Jot down a list of everything you use for at least one or two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, you will have a list of items that you use and likely should keep. Everything else can go!
2. Set up zones for specific tasks to make your space as efficient as possible. Another good rule of thumb is that the more you use something, the closer it should be to you.
3. Use the F.A.S.T method:
– Fix a time – decluttering can be a family affair, fix a time to declutter.
– Anything not used in the last 12 months you probably do not need!
– Someone else’s stuff – is all the clutter in your home even yours? Return burrowed items!
– Trash – you only want to keep things that make sense for your space, take pride in what you can trash, recycle, or donate!
