Day & Night blinds in our Perfectly Fitted system give you the same flexible light control and modern striped aesthetic as Perfect Fit versions, but they work on more window types and come in a much wider range of frame colours to properly match your specific uPVC finish.
Our Perfectly Fitted system has been a huge success since we launched it – we designed it based on years of experience fitting thousands of blinds and understanding exactly where standard systems fall short. The brackets and frame design work on window profiles that defeat Perfect Fit, the colour range matches pretty much any uPVC window colour you’ll find, and the installation creates that integrated look where the blind seems to float against the glass rather than sitting in an obvious frame.
Day & Night blinds are the perfect match for this system – the alternating sheer and opaque stripes give you variable light control throughout the day, from filtered brightness through to privacy with light, or fully closed for maximum coverage. Combined with Perfectly Fitted’s colour-matched frames that blend seamlessly with your windows, you get a sophisticated, modern window covering that looks like it was designed specifically for your home.
The system works brilliantly in conservatories, bay windows, patio doors. It’s also excellent for newer homes with coloured or woodgrain effect uPVC where white Perfect Fit frames would look wrong.
Matches Your Actual Window Colours – We offer frames in all common uPVC colours (white, cream, mahogany, light oak, nut, cherry, golden oak, Winchester, swamp oak, brown, black, grey, and silver). Frames blend perfectly, even matching mixed colours in conservatories for a coordinated look.
More Minimal Appearance – Perfectly Fitted frames are less visible than standard Perfect Fit. Slimmer plates create a cleaner, “floating” aesthetic, letting your eye focus on the Day & Night fabric.
Flexible Day & Night Light Control – Get full Day & Night functionality: align stripes for filtered light/view, offset for privacy/brightness, or close fully for maximum coverage. Easily adjust light levels as your needs change.
Blinds Move With Windows and Doors – Attaching to the window means the blind moves with tilt-and-turn windows or door panels, maintaining privacy and easy access without obstruction.
Conservatory Specialist Solution – Perfectly Fitted handles the complexity of conservatories (multiple colours, profiles) by individually matching and working across different window types for a professional, cohesive result.
Child Safe and Family Friendly – Simple, safe operation with no dangling cords (side chain or motorised options). Robust construction handles repeated daily use and family life.
Requires Professional Assessment – A free in-person assessment is needed to confirm compatibility, determine mounting, and provide an accurate quote due to the custom nature of our proprietary Perfectly Fitted system.
Not Complete Blackout – Like all Perfect Fit systems, small light gaps exist around the frame edges. While providing excellent darkness, it is not absolute blackout like recess-fitted blinds. Adequate for most, but shift workers may need extra solutions.
Colour Matching Is Very Good But Not Perfect – Frames are matched closely to your uPVC, but slight variations may occur due to paint batches, fading, or lighting. We’ll show samples before ordering.
Still Visible When Fully Raised – When raised, the neat, colour-matched top cassette remains visible. The blinds do not disappear completely like some recessed options.
Limited to Moderate Window Sizes – Ideal for standard domestic windows, the system has size limits for very large windows requiring more support. We will advise on maximum sizes during assessment.
Perfect Fit uses clip-on frames that attach to uPVC windows without drilling. Perfectly Fitted is our own system that works on more window types, including timber, and it can navigate around obstacles. Freehanging blinds mount to the wall or ceiling above your window like traditional roller blinds. Perfect Fit and Perfectly Fitted blinds move with your window when you open it, while free-hanging blinds stay put. All three give you the same day & night functionality—it’s just different mounting methods depending on your windows and what you prefer.
Absolutely, that’s the whole point. The blinds attach to the window itself, so when you open your window, the blind moves with it. You don’t need to roll them up first or move them out of the way. It’s dead handy for tilt-and-turn windows where you need to tilt them in for cleaning or ventilation. With free-hanging blinds, you’d normally need to roll them up before opening the window, but with these systems, you just open the window as normal.
The fabric has alternating see-through and solid stripes. When you position the solid stripes to overlap, you get complete privacy – nobody can see in. When you offset them so the see-through stripes align, you get filtered light but still some privacy because of the stripe pattern. You can position them anywhere in between to get exactly what you need. At night with lights on inside, you’ll want the solid stripes aligned for proper privacy, but during the day you can have them more open to let natural light in.
They’re brilliant in bathrooms, especially if you go for the Perfect Fit or Perfectly Fitted options. The fabric is designed to cope with moisture, and because they sit close to the window, they don’t get in the way of your bathroom fixtures. Just make sure you pick a moisture-resistant fabric (we’ll advise you on that) and give them a wipe down occasionally if they get steamy. They’re perfect for bathroom windows where you want privacy, but you don’t want the room to feel like a cave.
Yeah, most of our Day & Night blinds can be motorised. It’s particularly good if you’ve got high windows or loads of blinds that you want to control together. You can get them with remote control operation, or we can set them up to work with Alexa or Google Home if you’ve got a smart home setup. Motorised blinds are child-safe by design too, which is a bonus. They cost a bit more than manual operation, but if you’ve got the budget for it, they’re really convenient.
Dead easy—just give them a light dusting with a feather duster or use your vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment on a low setting. If they get a bit grubby, you can wipe them down with a damp cloth. Don’t soak them or use harsh chemicals, though, as that can damage the fabric. The solid stripes usually show marks more than the see-through bits, so just keep an eye on them and give them a quick wipe when needed. They’re much easier to keep clean than curtains or Roman blinds.
Normal roller blinds are either up or down—when they’re down, you get privacy, but you block out all the light. Day & Night blinds give you way more control because of the two-layer stripe design. You can have them down for privacy while still letting light filter through, or you can adjust them for complete privacy when you need it. It’s like having a dimmer switch for your natural light rather than just an on/off switch. They’re a bit more expensive than basic roller blinds, but you get a lot more versatility.
Honestly, they work in pretty much any room. They’re brilliant in living rooms where you want to control glare on the telly without making the room dark. Perfect in bedrooms where you want flexibility—light in the morning, privacy at night. Great in kitchens and bathrooms where you need privacy but you don’t want to lose natural light. They’re popular in home offices too because you can adjust them throughout the day depending on screen glare. The only place we’d say think twice is if you need total blackout—in that case, proper blackout roller blinds or curtains might be better.
Battery Powered Motorisation: Motorise Day & Night Perfectly Fitted blinds with USB-charged battery motors, controlled via remote, app, or voice (Alexa/Google Home). This eliminates the side chain, offering a clean look and easy operation, especially for conservatories. Battery life is typically 6-12 months.
Smart Home Integration: Motorised blinds integrate with smart home systems. Create scenes (e.g., “Good Morning” opens all blinds) or schedules. Add sun sensors for automatic adjustment. Ideal for tech-savvy users seeking maximum convenience.
Coordinate Complete Conservatory Solutions: We design comprehensive conservatory solutions, colour-matching Day & Night side window blinds with pleated roof blinds. This controls temperature and light while ensuring visual consistency, making the conservatory comfortable and usable year-round.
Contrast Frame Colours for Design Statement: While most match frames to windows, contrasting colours (e.g., black on white windows) can create a bold design feature. We advise on aesthetic choices to make the blinds a statement piece.
